GTA6 Hubspot ("we", "the site") is an independent fan-run site about Grand Theft Auto VI at gta6hubspot.com. This page explains exactly what we collect and what we do with it. We have tried to keep it specific rather than boilerplate.
What we collect
Email address (only if you give it to us)
If you submit the newsletter form, we store your email address, the date, the page or form you used, and the IP address the request came from. We use this only to email you about GTA VI news. We do not sell, rent, or share this list with third parties.
Account details (only if you register)
If you create an account we store a username, an email address, and a password. Passwords are
hashed with scrypt and a per-user salt — we never store or have access to your plain password.
A session cookie (hub_session) keeps you signed in; it is essential to the login
feature and expires after 30 days.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read. It sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. This is handled by Google under its own privacy policy.
Server logs
Our web server records standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer and user agent. These are used for security, debugging and traffic measurement.
Advertising
We may display advertising on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies via aboutads.info or Your Online Choices.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your email address with advertisers.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. That includes removing your email from the newsletter list and deleting your account. Email us at the address below and we will action it.
If you are in the UK, EU or EEA, you have these rights under the GDPR, including the right to withdraw consent at any time and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion under the CCPA.
Data retention
Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for removal. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Server logs are rotated and discarded on a rolling basis.
Cookies we set ourselves
hub_session— keeps you signed in. Only set if you log in.- Local browser storage is used to remember that you dismissed the newsletter bar or popup, so we do not show it again. This never leaves your device.
