GTA 6 on PC: Everything We Know About a PC Release

Will GTA 6 come to PC at launch? What Rockstar's history, the missing SteamDB listing and Take-Two's language actually tell us about a GTA 6 PC version.

The single most-asked GTA 6 question after “when” is “will it be on PC?” Here’s the honest state of play, separating Rockstar’s pattern from wishful thinking.

What’s actually confirmed

At launch, GTA 6 is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, and there is still no SteamDB or Epic listing for the game.

Why PC is very likely — eventually

Rockstar has a consistent, decade-long pattern:

  • GTA 5 launched on consoles in 2013, PC in 2015 — roughly 18 months later.
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 followed the same shape — console first, PC about a year on.
  • Rockstar treats PC as a premium second window, not a day-one platform.

History says PC is a matter of when, not if — but “when” has historically meant a year or more after console launch.

The signals to watch

A PC version usually telegraphs itself before it’s announced:

  1. A SteamDB / Epic app entry appearing quietly in the backend.
  2. Graphics-driver release notes name-dropping the title.
  3. Rockstar Launcher references datamined ahead of a reveal.

The honest summary

No confirmed GTA 6 PC version yet. Based on Rockstar’s history, expect it to follow the console release rather than match it. We watch the storefront backends daily and will route you to the listing the second it appears — no fake “leaked PC date” required.
