GTA 6 Launch Roadmap: Every Confirmed Date Before November 19
A clean timeline of every confirmed GTA 6 date on the way to launch — pre-orders, preload, physical shipping and release day — plus the dates still unconfirmed.
The road to November 19, 2026 has a handful of fixed checkpoints. Here’s every confirmed GTA 6 date in order, what happens on each, and which dates are still up in the air — so you know exactly what to watch for and when.
The confirmed timeline
- June 25, 2026 — Pre-orders opened. Standard ($79.99) and Ultimate ($99.99) editions went live worldwide. Full details here.
- November 12, 2026 — Preload + physical shipping. Digital preload opens and physical “code in a box” copies begin shipping — one week ahead of launch.
- November 19, 2026 — Launch day. GTA 6 releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
That’s it for hard dates. Everything else is still unconfirmed — and we label it that way.
The dates still unconfirmed
- Trailer 3 — unreleased as of early July 2026, with a rumored (not official) summer window. What we know.
- A PC release — not announced; Rockstar’s pattern suggests it follows consoles. The full case.
- Online mode timing — Rockstar currently calls GTA 6 “a single-player experience.” More here.
While you wait
The best use of the countdown is a rewatch. Trailer 2 is still the most recent official look at the game — here it is:
The bottom line
Three confirmed dates stand between now and GTA 6: pre-orders (done), preload and shipping on November 12, and launch on November 19. Take-Two has said it won’t move again, and with pre-order money against the date, that’s as solid as release dates get. We track each remaining unknown — Trailer 3, PC, online — and route you to the source the moment any of them turns official.
